It’s Halloween night and we’re so excited about this campaign it’s scary. We’re so grateful for the over 2,000 frighteningly amazing folks who have shown up to support Harvest. But tonight, it’s a haunting evening of tricks and treats. First of all, here’s a look at Francie, the Field Springer, looking fetch-ing in her new costume…

Francie is the second of three promo characters—all dressed up in their Halloween best. Each Character will have a unique twist on their ability and you’ll receive all Halloween Promos when you back the Fall Festival expansion. Stay posted – we’ll be revealing the third soooooooon!

More Treats, Score!

In other less spooky news, backers have been asking about the Animeeples and their Score Markers. We made the handy graphic below to help show what Animeeples comes in each box. These are printed wood pieces that players use in place of the Wheelbarrows when playing as a specific character. They also come with a wood Score Marker to replace the button for ease-of-recognition. Check out the table below. If you were a part of the original Kickstarter, make sure to keep reading for the aforementioned treat. 

A Little Bit of History & Context

In the original Harvest Kickstarter, we added a 4th Animeeple for players to keep track of their score. We had tried buttons (like the base game), but these were less color-blind friendly so we went with what we believed was the better (and more expensive) manufacturing option that served the most players. We received feedback that people really really love Animeeples.... but players missed the buttons and had issues with the 4th Animeeple Score Marker—accidentally picking it up because it was mistaken as a meeple used during the placement phase.

We believe these new updated Circle Score Markers make it much easier on players—solving the color-blind issue while also avoiding the above confusion. 

A Thank You for Past Support

With this change, we wanted to honor those who backed the original campaign and are here again. If you are backing the Expansion Tier with the Fix-It Kit, you will have option to opt-in and update your extra Animeeples to the 12 Circle Score Markers. Free of charge. This will cover all past Base and Promo Characters, and we will handle this through a survey in the Pledge Manager.

Day 2: The Festival Is Growing!

Day 2 is in the books! We did a little jig over here as Kickstarter recently bestowed the campaign with the Projects We Love tag. Huzzah!

With 35 hours into the campaign we are over 1900 backers. That’s already more than half of our first campaign for Harvest! Over 1500 backers are in for the Expansion Tier—meaning 80% of you are loving original Harvest and are showing up here for more! Let’s go! We think you’re going to have so much fun out of this big little festival. For the new folks, welcome aboard!

Play Harvest Online

We just made the expansion available as a Tabletop Simulator Mod if you want to try it out. The Draft Rulebook is over here, and our ears are always open to any thoughts. We’ll be teaching and showcasing more of what we think makes it special in the coming days through some videos.

If Board Game Arena is more of your thing, you can enjoy original Harvest on BGA. The expansion will be added, but the coding side of things takes more time. That'll shape up closer to the actual release.

What a lovely launch day in Furroughfield!

Howdy Neighbors, 

The sun came up this morning and we were thankful we get to make games. We were thankful folks like you love to play 'em. They say it takes a village to raise a Kickstarter and we cannot tell you how much it means to have your help in bringing Harvest: Fall Festival to life.

The expansion started as a small seed in Trey's mind years back after he made original Harvest in 2017, and it is now funded and sprouting because of you. There might have been mushrooms cards instead of pies back then, but hey, we really love pies.

Thank you for allowing us to take another handful of wheat and tell new stories in Furroughfield. It's been so fun to see familiar faces in the comments from past campaigns. Please keep saying hello and letting us know what you love and what we can do better.

The sun is now well past down. It's late, and tomorrow there will be more work to do, more fun to share, and more to be thankful about. Thank you all for a lovely launch day.
